CBR600/1000 Steering stem

Anyone know if these stems are pressed in or molded to the lower triple? Need to buy a triple for 41mm katana forks as the katana stem is cast with the lower triple.

I can use either a 98 cbr600 triple or 87-91/93-96 models as they are 41mm forks..

All the ones in modern Jap bikes I have come across can be pressed out. Not sure about the CBR600 though.

Awesome thanks guys.. Do you know if the katana stem is pressed? I sure did look like it was all cast looking from the bottom cause its a hollow stem and there is no seam to see.

Looks like I'll be getting a cbr1000 triple!

VFR750 and SV650 forks are also 41mm. It may be worth looking into these as well.

I went with honda forks for the simple fact that (asides from bearings) it was a bolt up to my 77 Cb550
