CD250u rat bike

Hey all here is my project that belongs mostly in this section I think...

I'm trying to create a bike in a rod style of chopping and modifying not using the luxury of buying all the parts for a Cafe kit.

As close as I have to what it used to look like

It was pretty standard when I got it except for small indicators and some paint. This pic has my new huge tyres 

I've done a few mods that I'm going to change again like concealed cables in handle bars and removing the useless other gauge and dropping the spedo a bit.

Drilled the jets to size 100 or 1mm

Cut the pipes off, just the outer skin and left the baffle on. Added another, some steel wool and a washer

I don't really like the sound however.

Gave it a run to work and back, hated the sound. Im going to sort out a 2 into 1 and reverse shorty. I might gut my stock pipe and of course make my own shorty, any one done it?

Yep it does sound a bit like a damp fart. I made a silencer out of a mini argon gas bottle. It's not hard.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but you didn't drill the jets IN the carbs... Right?

Bafflectomy

Stock muffler cut open for questioning, I now realise that I need to have a section of larger pipe that the headers for resonance, I think I might cut off stock baffle, the piece that drops 50 of the csa

Go 2 into 1 and a slightly modified standard exhaust, If that doesn't sound right reverse shorty copy

I've only got 30mm from carb to frame so.... Custom pods,, I'll high five myself

I would have described it as more of a fart in a cardboard box... I think the intake needs damping

Argon bottle would have had nice thick walls
