I thought I would introduce myself here. My current primary bike is an anniversary edition 2007 VFR with the Red/White/Blue paint scheme. I also ride dirt, race quads, and build old cars and a fwe modern hotrods. I am by profession a Deputy Sheriff in Converse County Wyoming (don't worry, I'm not "one of those") although I have an extensive background in building bikes, street rods and the auto restoration field and I have been riding street bikes for about 17 years now. I'm a MSF Ridercoach and have a million or so hobbies. What brings me here is my my first bike. I've owned a dozen or so over the years, but my first still lives at home. It is a 1978 CB400 TII which I have seen several on this site. It is in almost pristine condition, about 16,000 miles and all stock for now. I will be tearing it apart and rebuilding it as a cafe racer with many many mods. I am pretty excited to be startign this build and will be posting up some pics soon as time allows me to get greasy. I've already found a ton of good info on here and while I am very skilled at the art of metal fabrication (comes from years of restoring 50+ year old machines) I am going to learn something new on this build. I have decided that it is time to get into composites. I will be building many of my parts from fiberglass (or carbon fiber if I get ambitious) and while the goal of this build is to have a cool toy when I am done, I am also going to have fun learning and adding to my list of abilities as I go.
well that's enough gibberish about me, I better get back to reading build threads and collecting ideas.
Thanks,
George
