Hello!
I am relatively new to the motorcycle world (been riding just over 2 years now) and I'm glad i found this forum to ask some pros about the ongoing fixing/maintaining of my 75 CL 360!
Figured out how to fix just about every problem i've had so far by myself, but now that i have the option i figured i'd try for some advice on my drive chain.
The drive chain seems to have way too much slack (about an inch and 1/2 or more of play)...and every time i try to tighten it up to spec, it stretches back to where it was. Now that the rear tire is pretty far back (almost to the last 'tick mark') and its still too slack, i figure its time to replace it.
SO...my main question here is, is it best to get a set of sprockets as well as a new chain? or can i just pop a new chain on? sprockets don't seem too noticeably worn out (odometer says about 7500 miles if that makes a difference).
Is there a certain brand i should look for?
Tips/tricks/pointers??
Thanks!!
