Hey, Im having an issue with my clutch. Got the motor back together and the kickstarter wouldnt engage. Pulled the cover off cranked the bolts on the clutch and put it back together. Better but still not quite. Pulled the clutch apart and put it back together, started on the first kick... Then the problem came back. So the bolts are cranked completely on the clutch and as far as I can tell everythings in the right place but the cover still wont sit flush. There is about an eighth of an inch of space. There is the 25 mm washer, the collar thing, then the basket. Thats right right? Any ideas on what my problem might be?

I'm having the same sort of problem with mine. I sent mine to be rebuilt in Florida, waited for quite a while to get it back and received to with out the kick lever. When I contacted them I got the lever in the mail, put it on, with the entire bike rebuilt and try to kick, no movement in the pistons at all. The plates never lose slack. The are always loose. Looks like all the components are there. No say.

What did you end up doing???

I had that problem on my cb450

Look for the pressure plate alignement. Change it from one side to the other and you'll find the right spot where it needs to be.
