Clutch mysteriously stopped working (solved)

One day clutch is fine. A week later (after sitting in garage) clutch will not disengage. When I pull the lever, the actuator arm moves as it should and the tension feels correct, but it does nothing. Same thing whether bike is running or not. Anyone experience this?

Re: Clutch mysteriously stopped working

Real common.
It's called 'stiction' and caused by oil between clutch plates.
Easiest way to 'fix' it is put bike in second gear, pull clutch and 'bump' it backwards a few times until it unsticks'
There will still be drag until engine is running so don't worry about that.
It used to be so common 'back in the day' that there were instructions to pull clutch with bike in gear and operate kickstart to free things off first thing in the morning, it used to happen overnight with older oils
