I am working on a 1980 CM400a, replacing the engine with one from a 1982 CM450e. One of the things I am doing is replacing the big ugly filter box with pod filters and I am wondering what is normally done with the crank case vent tube that used to run to the filter box.
Thanks. I've seen a few pics now with a small cone filter added to the tube and pointed to the front and some with just a longer tube directed downward. Any advantages of one method over the other?
I vented my cm450's case gases into my exhaust. It takes a small amount of drilling and welding but the results are worth it. I have attached an image of what I am talking about. There is a lot of info on how to do this on cars the principle is the same and you can buy a kit or just gather up the parts individually
