Copper Exhaust Gasket Removal

I usually just pop em out with a flathead, maybe against a small block of wood for leverage. but then again I haven't had any that are really stuck in there.

OK, Thanx. Figured it was something like that but they are so well squished that I wasn't even sure they were still in there until I reached in and scratched a bit of the schmootz off. Scratch a bit and there's copper under there but there's hardly any room to get something in to pry with.. Copper is soft enough, guess I'll just tap away at 'em w/ something slightly sharp to start with.

Pop a hook in the port and hook them from that direction. The copper ones pop right out, the braided ones you mostly have to peel once you get a grip on them.

Got mine out with a cheap pick set that has also come in handy numerous times
