Couple of rear set setup questions

Generally you want the arm at the peg and the arm that it attaches to to be parallel, correct?
And you want the linkage between them to be as straight as possible?

Yep...you got it. They arms should be close to the same length also

yep, if they aren't it will do this... see at the end of the stroke two are almost in line? any more and it can toggle over center.
