Covered Trailer

Never had a covered 'cargo' trailer, always used a three-rail bike trailer, more for dirt bikes, and it has served me well. But, I might start venturing out of OH for bike events and will take some decent bikes, so feel I should invest in a covered trailer. Looks like I can get a new black Haulmark 6x10 v-nose locally for right a $2k. I'd like to be able to squeeze three bikes in, no full dressers, but smaller vintage stuff.

Will likely be pulling with a mid sized SUV . . .

Thoughts?

Sounds like it will work to me. There should be enough room to pack in three bike, maybe four and some parts if you get creative.

I have one but its not covered. I do have a Thule bag that's removable and it can carry a ton of gear and keep it dry. It has a removable bicycle rack and a rack for a medium sized cooler. Next bike event I attend it will be loaded with an around town type bike (honda 360) plus enough camping gear for a week or so.

Yeah, those toy haulers are pretty slick.

troy, I did just pick up a cb750a . . . might be just the ticket to pull the trailer.

They are well worth the money. I still have mine from my motocross days and it works well. We used to put twobikes facing forward and one in the middle facing the rear plus gear bags. I used it last year and it was nice to have it locked up overnight with tools and stuff in it and not worry at 2 in the morning. 2k isn't a bad price either.

Yeah, I think it would be worth the $. I will keep my eye out for a clean used one for right at $1000 or so . . . no rush.

I have a friend that lives in Pittsburgh that has a 6x10 enclosed for 1K. I now you can get 2 baggers in it if you angel them.
