hey guys!
i need to reassemble my RD motor after a long time and im pretty happy everything is coming back together!
so heres the question.the motor is in neutral so i will need to "block" the crank to put back on the clutch, generator, et cetera....
do you guys put in gear to do this?isnt that bad for the gearing of the motor?
my machinist (more a car guy) told me to stick a piece of aluminum between in the crank slot (see picture)...is this ok for the motor or will it destroy my crank...i must admit i used for dissambling the motor and nothing happened...the crank is true.
or there is this other way i read about...putting a piece of wood or aluminium under both pistons...what you guys think?
thanks in advance!
