So I was talking with a friend and he mentioned meth injection/ alcohol injection on cars. It got me thinking, and is it possible to run an alcohol injection system on a carbureted DOHC Honda four? The performance gains might not be huge but it would definitely help out, especially with the weight of that bike. Advance the timing to compensate and exploit the injection system, and it might even be possible to lean it out a bit. Any thoughts?

I ran water/alcohol injection on a turbo CBX I spent 3 years building. The second time I had it out it was stolen so I cant tell you the real results and this was 20 years ago now! But SOB would run! Custom crank, head,Atp turbo and more exhaust & plumbing than a F1 car. I had some much $$$ in than thing and the insurance didnt give me crap for it. Now I use Grundy for all my bikes. Sorry for the winded reply....Peace

I think water/alcohol injection is best for turbo engines only...don't think it works on non-turbo.

I''d do it, but you'll have to find the place to mount the reservoir and such. tricky, but not impossible, easier with a faring to hide stuff.

I think the best reason to do it on a n/a engine would be to advance the timing for some performance gains and use the alcohol as an octane booster. And Papa O, how did you manage to work the injection system into the carbs?
