Hey Kiddos, I am turning my painting hobby into something more. I have been building bikes and doing paint for myself and friends for a while and want to see if I can make it my main gig. Here is a look at what I am working on now.
This is a new Shoei RF-1100. I wanted a vintage paint job on a modern helmet so I went Mexican blanket. I will be putting this one up for sale when it's done.
2oz of 0.15 Kustom Chrome metal flake.
It turned out to be several hours more taping then I imagined.
The red side
The green side
And the lacy center.
This is a new Seven-Zero-Seven Vendetta III. I'll be selling it as well.
White first.
Flame red.
Metallic Gold.
And Black half-tone to finish it off.
And these are my personals.
Shoei RF-1000
It's first paint job was blue and honey-combed.
Then it was too blue.
Here is what it's getting now.

, I hope you are using waterbased paints to perform these masterpieces. For 25 years I worked for an organization that tested and certified helmets for all sports/activities, and it is well known in the industry that paints will affect the integrity of the helmet shell. This affect can reduce the integral strength of the shell to causing it to fail impact test protocols. The now common painted goaltender masks were the test rats some fifteen years ago where teams would submit repainted helmet for recertification. It was an extremely costly process until they found the perfect mixture of materials and paints that would meet the standards. This whole process has simplified now with waterbased paints, due the fact that there is no solvent interaction.
