Denver Racer

High On Octane

Ton Up or Shut Up
Hey everyone! My name is Scottie and I live in the Denver Metro. I do auto body and paint for a living and specialize in custom Hot Rod restorations. I have a 1958 Royal Enfield/Indian Trailblazer 700cc twin that I restored myself about 1.5 years ago. The bike is awesome and I have a lot of fun on it and I get a lot of compliments for it as well. 2 weeks ago it fell over in my friends driveway and did a bit of carnage to the gas tank and headlight. I ended filing a claim thru insurance and I'm using the claim money to convert my bike from a bobber to a full cafe racer. I'll be placing an order tomorrow for all of the parts when I receive the check from insurance and then it's game time!

Mods On The Agenda Include:
-New fork seals and springs
-New alternator & mounting bracket and rectifier
-New headlight ring and yellow H4 bulb
-New rear sets
-New Dime City "PHAT" cafe seat/fender
-New center stand and retaining spring
-New custom paint that will be even better than the first job
-Custom pounding the gas tank
-New tunable rear shocks
-New clip on bars

This is how the bike currently looks

And here's a pic of me racing it on the flat track

I also have another project bike, a '59 Enfield/Indian Chief that I am building. The motor is getting a full custom performance build, but I think I am going to initially put the engine into the cafe racer. The heads are almost complete and are being custom built by Ace Performance Bullets and Mondello's Head Shop. The heads are a full custom 1-off build with custom valves, seats and springs, 1-off custom high ratio rocker arms, thermal ceramic coating in the combustion chamber and exhaust ports and ported to flow 160cfm per cylinder. The motor is also getting custom steel H-beam conrods and is going to be finished off with an Asian AMR500 supercharger. To the best of my knowledge, no one has ever built an Enfield Twin to the extent that I am. Original HP was 40hp at the block, with all of our blueprint figures, we should be able to achieve 125hp at the block under 8psi of boost. I think it's safe to say that I am going to have the baddest and meanest of any Enfield ever built in the history of oldest motorcycle still in production. ;D
