Whazzup! I just purchased DCC's new aluminum CB360 dash and it only holds the speedo. Thats not a problem, but I'm wonderiing what people use to plug the tachometer cable hole in the engine?

Thanks for the help.

Here's a cheap/simple solution for 'plugging' the engine tachometer port, that worked on my CB500T.

Cut the tacho cable and remove the knurled, threaded collar from the engine end of the cable.
Insert an appropriately-sized small bolt through the collar - facing outward - with washers inside and out, and affixed with a nut.
Put some sealant in the collar, and install on the engine.
There you go!

Post pics of your DCC dash when installed.

Why not make your own tach drive cover? I removed my tach drive entirely. Made a replacement cover out of aluminum, drilled the retaining holes, polished and installed it. Look on the right front of the cam cover. Tach drive gone!

I've been making these for 360's

and a slightly modified version to fit with the drive gear still in place

the cheapest solution i found was a rubber cork from a local hardware store. just search near the bolt bins for the specialty bins and youll find the black rubber corks. works perfectly and is under $1!

now wait, what's the logic in ditching the tach instead of the speedo? Going for a racebike would mean deleting the speedo, as you don't care what speed you're going if your goal is to go as fast as possible, with the tach to remind you not to blow the motor. No tach, why?? That reminds me of my friend's Honda minivan-just a speedo...

Well the dash only holds the speedo... at least that's what it says. I think that the tach is more important to have for tuning the carbs. I don't know if the dash will accept the tach instead of the speedo. I asked DCC, but they never responded. Guess I'll have to wait and see when it arrives. I wanted to know how people were plugging the hole left by the tach cable just in case the dash doesn't accept the tach.
