DIY Rearsets......

Is it possible to order a partial kit? I only need:
- folding pegs, levers, toe pegs, & 1 rod end (RH thread).

I can do that no problem. When I first started this thats all i supplied was pegs and levers. Than I looked into linkages and put this kit together and everyone wants a complete package. But anyways, How does $112 shipped sound? I can use a small flat rate box for $6.

This is how my rear sets are attached now. Anyone have any idea how to get this off the rod end?

Is there a small retainer ring on the ball joint, like this?

Not sure (and BTW I meant Heim joint not rod end) I was going to try to salvage my shift arm and brake arm but it doesn't look like I'll be able to do that. Any suggestions for donor arms, my bike is a 74 350F.

The short, splined gear shift actuator? Honda has not changed the diameter and spline pattern to this day. You can use an aluminum one from any Honda CBR.

Thanks, any suggestions for the brake side?

I'm using gsxr rearsets, and the splined shifter works fine.
I'm using a rod from fastfromthepast.com

For the brake side, I'm using the
gsxr rearset too. I have a disc on my 750f, so it was just matter of the right hose.

Mike, there all correct. Nearly any late model sportbike shifters will work. But you will have to grind off that part you have, and press out the rest of the rivet/ball.

I've got your rearsets coming (you shipped right ;) ) and it seems like Fast from the Past has the arms I need. I can sell my old set for cheap, probably fund at least one of the arms. Soon as I get your rearsets I'll see exactly what I need.

Thanks for all the replies!

Hi D
I'd like to order a CB350 kit with folding pegs and rod ends. Can you send me a PP invoice? Shipping to Sydney Australia

Thx

This is why I ordered a partial kit. I will use the shifter lever arm and rod from a cbr900rr. I like the rod with inside threads rather than a threaded rod. It just looks more finished. The other end that attaches to your inside threaded rod end will just receive a cut off 6mm bolt to fit between the rod and rod-end. That will almost be hidden as well depending on the adjustment.

For the brake side, I plan on a cable actuator (a la cb77). I prefer cable on the rear rather than the rod. It also looks better and may have a better feel (maybe). A little different too as most rear setups are rod. A couple of cable stops on either end and some way to attach one end to the brake lever is all I'll need.

Got my rearsets today. Quality is very very nice. I just need to fab up a few things and I should be rocking.

Chris
