DIY Rearsets......

I doubt I am going to mind a gouge, let me know when they are ready and send an invoice to don at grid-1 dot net my zip is 80110.

Thanks!

PM sent. I want a solid DIY set. Gonna be putting them on my CB 500 project. I've got all my other parts on the way, and need these to feel like I'm ready to start reassembly. Please send invoice to michael.brown1@att.net, and I will make payment immediately.

Ryan and firestarter, WILL DO!!! But it wont be until mid week, I have run out of levers, but i have a new batch in the works, and they will be ready mid week.

Are you running a stop light switch on your rear brake?

I would like a set when you have them available. Solid pegs. Please let me know when you have them available.

Will do. I have componenets in house now. But I am focusing on machining other parts this week. So next week is definitly feasable.

Interested in a quote for a solid set for a '71 CB500 (four cylinder). I can get email at: imagox@yahoo.com

Thanks!

I am out of town the next few days, feel free to send me an invoice at don at grid-1 dot net and I will take care of it as soon as I can.

Does anyone know if a non-folding set of these pegs will work with my CB500's kick-start, or will I need to use the folding set instead?

Also, looking at the installed pics I really like the look of the solid rods (as opposed to the threaded units included in the these kits). I saw in an earlier reply that someone ordered just a partial peg kit and then sourced the linkage rods from Fast From The Past (I think). Since I have no fabrication tools to speak of it's crucial that I source all the parts directly, either from here or piecemeal from various suppliers - can someone recommend the best solution for my bike?

PS - LOVE the look of these units... I'm sure I'll get it sorted out with a smidge of help. Thanks for offering these!

Michael, I can swap out the rod ends for the ball joints if you preferr. Just ship them out, and ill ship out a rod end kit for you.

Fire starter, sorry man, forgot about you and those. I had everything around, than all hell broke loose here, and i lost track. ill let you know tomorrow night, and i should have a kit ready over the weekend. My garage is in a state of dysfunction right now, with an influx of components, and other hardware, and i just lost track of things.

My biggest issue lately was that i got my levers water jetted, instead of cnc milled, as a trial run, and im losing my A$$ on them. the surface finish around the outer profile was horrible, and i have to sand with 2 different belts, than my usual tumble. Not to mention the stock is thicker than normal, so I had to counterbore the peg opening face, to make sure the peg nose protrudes. anyways, its been a long couple weeks. All part of the manufactureing process nontheless. just takes time.

Lesson learned i guess. Waterjetting is not for cosmetics, or tight tolerances. Sorry for the rant, LOL. back to work, Kris

No worries man, I am still working on other areas of the bike.

Yeah I hear you man, waterjet does suck. Looked into a plasma table earlier this year and I just cant justify it as a process right now, maybe in the future, and waterjet is OK but even harder to justify.

Sorry for the late response. Overlooked this post. Best guess of fast from the past parts, is the splined shifters, and splined brake arm. I dont supply those yet. The broach cost is more than i can bear at the moment. Other than that, its a good bolt on set for the 500's and 550's fom what Ive seen. With those parts from FFTP, ANd my DIY setup, you will have a complete kit.

Kris

Kris, I'll take you up on that offer if it's available. I'll need your addy to send the ball joints back.

Edit: still have the addy on the original box. I'll send them out to you in Monday. Can you do the same with the rod ends?
