does cb550 have base carb?

sync'ed carbs with manometer now it runs worse, can there be too much vacuum? initial reading was less than 12 for all four so i raised them all to 20 cause manual says between 16-24

If they were all less than 12 HOW did you raise the vacuum on ALL of them to 20? What type of manometer are you using? One for twins or 4's? Plugged into all the carbs at the same time or one at a time?

Really what you want is for all of them to be as CLOSE to the same as possible.
