Been Around the Block
anybody with a DOHC cb750 running the cyclex twin mikunis or the murrays ones from speedmotoco?

i'm curious because while visually different, the murrays kit says there are no frame issues while the cyclex recommends otherwise. i want to know what exact clearance issues they seem to have.

at almost half the price of CRs, i'd be interested. the mikuni RSs seem to be very streetable and sexy, but i cant seem to find kits specifically for DOHC CBs :/

Murray's kit is fantastic. Well engineered kit.

No frame clearance issues. Super easy to install. Manifolds slip right in to the stock isolators.



I ran the Cycle X kit before I switched to Murray's.

They send out radiator hose to replace the stock isolators. I could never get it to run properly. The carbs bounced around everywhere. Hence the switch to Murray's kit.

ooh la la. the top pic is murrays, i'm guessing. do they come with new isolators/filters/jets?

they seem too good to be true for the price.
 
Do not come with the isolators for the head. Granted, they slide right in to the stock set, so, if those need not be replaced, you're good. Filters, yes.

Murray's kit is pretty much ready to rock out of the box. He has them sorted to the point of strapping them on the bike and going for a ride. He test runs each set before they are sent out.
 
excellent. thanks for the info. i'll probably end up with a set of those then once finances permit.

any chance you have a thread somewhere with more shots of them?
 
it comes up thru the frame loose under the gas tank down the left side and thru the forks on the left and around to the throttle

no sharp bends that way
