Ebay RIPOFF Artist

Well, one sure way of taking care of it is to put a bid on the auction that's guaranteed to win it and then never pay the bill. If you can present some inrefutable evidence that indicates it's not what the seller says it is, eBay would side with you.

Or you create a second eBay ID and use it to spoil his auction. People may say that's wrong, but I can almost guarantee you that eBay relies to some degree on the user community policing the content. Similar to flagging ads on Craigslist and Kijiji (owned by eBay).

At a minimum you can report the auction to eBay as being misrepresentative, again, if you can indicate specifically what the problem is. Has to be more that 'its very unlikely Davida, a respected helmet brand, would make a custom helmet so ugly as this'.

This guy is claiming this helmet to be a Davida Classic? What a deliberate ripoff! ("Custom made my ass"). I sent him an email and let him know. Perhaps if more people were to let him know that this aint no custom made Davida, He'll end his thievery and save some poor unexpecting guy his hard earned money!...Man, some people got nerve.

Just so that I know for future use, what gave it away as a fake? I know nothing about Davida helmets and I would think that its a good deal, if I was looking for a vintage Davida ???

I'm not an expert on Davidas but the one in his auction isn't a current model at the very least and he did say it was 8 years old. It's actually not a bad looking helmet and I do agree with him the chrome trim looks a lot better than that cheesy tape strip the real Davidas have which is a reason I'm not too crazy about them. Buyer beware.

Well what do you know? The seller was a bullshitter afterall. Trying to pass off a JP for a Davida. Shame on him.

In the eBay world, this is what they call "Item Significantly Not as Described".
I would advise that you go to this page:

Follow the process, and get the guy kicked off of eBay forever!

If I were to take this route, the thieving prick would have the helmet sold to some unsuspecting buyer by the time they did anything. I sent an email to Davida (maybe they'll rattle his cage). I figured though if enough people sent him a "ask seller a question" and let him know, he would just end the auction.
...There, I've done my good deed for the day. ;D

Yep - it's a JP helmet alright. Right down to the tartan lining and Warning label. I've reported it to eBay.

Without going into detail about how I know this ... if you submitted something, at minimum the item would be suspended almost immediately and the seller may be suspended within days. You'll have to trust me on this.

*Davida* did reply to my fraud alert on this lying shmuck. They informed me that they have contacted Ebay directly, as this listing discredits their good reputation.
I hope this sucker gets banned.
