That's a pretty sophisticated scam. How do they plant the phoney listing into an ebay search results page? And that other scam is really old by now, the one with the overseas seller askin for a deposit without the buyer even seeing the bike. If anyone falls for that I'm not very sympathetic.
I believe the listing is a legit ebay listing (meaning they created it the same way every other sellar does) so that it shows up in the search results, but once you go on to the actual listing page they must have put a redirector in their code that just sends it to their site instead. I've never sold anything on ebay but it must allow you to customize the product page a bit to help you present your product the way you want. It seems they are giving them too much control. You think they should scan the customized code for the redirectors or something! Hopefully they figure out something to fix it.
