El Poquito Exhaust Help

Anyone here running BCR's El Poquito exhaust? It's the high mount 2 into 1 setup. I started to dry fit mine together and I'm not sure how it connects to the engine. The stock exhaust is long gone, but each pipe used a 2 piece sleeve that wrapped around the original pipes and was held in by a ring that bolted on. I'm assuming it's a pretty standard setup.

The El Poquito exhaust has a flanged end that is too small to be held in by the ring piece. It slides right through. The new exhaust has a slightly larger flanged piece that is about 2 inches long and slides right over the exhaust pipe that attaches to the head.

The first picture shows the pieces I've got. The second picture shows how I think everything is supposed to fit together, with the pieces in my hand sliding inside the exhaust port on the head. Only problem with this is that once bolted up, the larger flanged piece is pretty secure, while the main exhaust pipe isn't held securely at all. It still has room to twist and turn all over the place.

I'm not sure if I'm missing pieces or maybe I'm not supposed to be using the original 2 piece sleeve that I'm holding in the second pic. Anybody install one of these or have any ideas?

Looks like the pieces in your hand need to be turned around and go through the collar. Of course I am not familiar with that pipe so I'm just guessing.

Or maybe the large ring they provided has to be turned around on the pipe so the flange butts into the finned clamp not into the exhaust inlet

I think they are the correct way around. The larger diameter fits into the finned ring and the two collets should be a slightly loose fit around the pipe and pressing against the flange.

What is that second short section of pipe/flange for? Is that because the pipe is a smaller diameter than stock and takes up the size difference perhaps?

I think I got it figured out, but no way to know for sure without getting in touch with Benji.

In the second pic, I think the short flanged piece that fits over the main pipe gets flipped around the other way. The flange fits into a relief on the engine side of that finned lock ring, and the straight end of that short piece presses on the flanged lip of the main pipe into the exhaust port.

Seems like that short piece is a replacement for the two piece setup I've got in my hand. After hand tightening everything, it seems to be holding the pipes tight.
