Engine ID

Well I'm confused because the airbox says 750f on it which means that would be a late 70s and not the 69-76 correct? I am new to this so I apologize about the questions.

All good man. Just need to be specific when asking so we can help. Are you talking about the airbox itself or the side cover?

Earlier airboxes said CB750F -- at least that' s my experience (unless someone went around replacing earlier airboxes with later one, and I kind of doubt that happened).

K3. F's came out in 1975, and the F3 was 1978. But they may have stamped the airbox 750F (again, unless I'm having a spasmodic brain fart) to denote it as being a four. I am pretty sure that's why the 350F was designated "F", to separate it from the 350 (twin), as there wasn't much supersport about it (at least not compared with the 550F and 750F, 4-1 exhaust, etc.). Just speculating here.

Here's a pic of the id tag on airbox

E = Engine. The CB750E on the engine has nothing to do with if it was stuffed into a K or F bike. The heads on the F are different tho from what I recall.
