That's not what I was talking about but it certainly was the chain lol. The problem I was talking about the chain actually hit the transmission case on the right side of the chain.

I second forcefanajd's concern. With a 530 o-ring chain you can actually chew a hole into the case and dump all your oil onto the rear tire. There have been several cases documented on the sohc4.net forums. NEVER use a 530 o-ring chain on a cb550! If you need an o-ring chain, a 520 conversion will work fine for this bike.

I remember reading about the o-ring issue when I got the thing. I didnt think that this was an o-ring chain tho.... Other ones say "O-Ring" on the description.
