Engine painting

So, I may have (no i definitely have haha) jumped the gun on the paining of my engine. I started stripping the paint off the covers as they were easy to do (just with some paint stripper) now i am in the predicament of getting the rest of the paint off the engine (smoothly that is), if you have any suggestions please let me know. The second thing is, how should i paint it? In parts or as a whole? I nearly regretted doing it, then i realised no it needed to be done, but now i am confused as to how i should go about it haha. So if you guys have any ideas on what i should please let me know. Thanks

The bike is a VTR 250 (V-twin)

Thanks

you would have to weight the pros and cons of how you want to paint it.
In parts you would do a more thorough job, but you would have to seal/cover any orifices in the parts to not get paint inside it. As a whole, you may have a harder time getting in all the cracks and getting it well done.

As to getting the rest of the paint off, perhaps a wire brush on the end of a drill may work, used it to clean out the fins on my t500 cylinders and it worked well enough.
