hey dont no if this is the thread this is suppose to be in so sorry about this. I have a 72 cb450 and want to fabricate my own exhaust and dont no the material to use or how to bend the piping....i need ideas plz. I was thinking of going straight pipes and wrapping them. I was going to order a bunch of stuff from evil bay, but decided to just do it on my own. If you can give me some advice or suggest a thread i would appreciate it greatly..
thx for everything

You'd need a proper tube bender to bend the tube.
You can do it with sand, a vice, and oxy acetylene but if you didn't already know that you probably need a bender ;D

The best way for a garage builder to do exhaust is with a bends kit, basically its all the bends and straights you'd need and you cut and weld it up in the right arrangement for your bike.
Something like:

Mandrelbends.com

And dont run straight pipes please. They're obnoxious, and near impossible to properly tune for on a street bike.

You can buy or make some proper baffles on the cheap. Couple write ups here on DTT about it.

I built these pipes with scraps from a xs bend kit
