First Post, First Motorcycle, First Project! 1972 CB 350 Twin

So there's been a bit of a change since I've last posted...

I found a 1974 CB 550 on my local craigslist. Completely disassembled, the frame (and a bunch of other parts) have been powdercoated (good and bad as I still want to change a bit), and the motor completely rebuilt. It came with enough parts to build about 2 bikes, along with a sweet set of unknown aftermarket 4 into 2 shorty pipes. So long story short, I bought that with a clean title for $300 and sold my 350 for $275 on craigslist.... After posting it and getting 15 emails in half an hour I realized it might have been a bit low, but it's also nice for someone else to get a deal - and the guy's building it for his wife, so that's sweet.

Anyway I'll take pictures in the next couple days at the latest and post 'em up.

Thanks with all the help with the 350, I hope you'll all be as kind as I start to build this 550 :)

Hello everyone,
I just got on to look at some cb350's and came across this thread. I'm the guy that bought Mark's bike. I just put everything into my garage. My plans are similar to Mark's so I'll be cleaning up the frame and getting it powder coated from a friend. No concrete plans yet but I can't wait for some time to dig in to the bike...

Jason,

Guess what? Yeah I completely forgot to give you the key! My bad... Sorry about that...

If you PM or email me your address I can just mail it to you. You're also welcome to come get it if you're going to be in Gresham at some point.

Have fun with the new project!

Mark
