Hello all.
Just picked up a 72 CB350 about a month ago.
At first, I just planned on just getting her up and running to ride (was almost there) just as a commuter to get back and forth around the city, but now a month later the sickness has set in, and I find myself knee deep in a cafe / brat resto-mod.
I used to ride dirt bikes back in the day but always friends bikes, never owned my own.
I have 0 (as in NO) experience with bike maintenance, engines, building, etc. but have always been good with my hands, have some experience with finish work but mostly with wood. (I design & build furniture).
So this has been, and will continue to be a huge learning experience for me.
A few headaches and facepalms discovering the previous owner's subpar and WTF? repairs, but mostly I've been having a blast so far.
After 3 years of rebuilding my first home (gut job) and nearing completion, I guess I needed a new challenge.
Been nosing around here, and HondaTwins for the past month, buying most of my replacement parts, etc.. so far from DCC (awesome) and have already found a wealth of information and help on these forums that is almost beyond belief (I would be completely lost without).
Hope to post some pics and progress with my project soon.
