Forks and fork seals

Does anyone know if Honda changed their forks on 500s from 1971-1975? I for the life of me can't get my new seals to go in. They just seem too big.

Do you still have the old ones so you can compare the size?

also, put them in the freezer for like 4-5 hours and they go in much easier.
