Front Brake calipers CB200

I'll be honest, I am a desperate woman.
I have a custom built trike, Suzuki 1400 with Corsa diff (apparently) I need to make her legal now with a handbrake. My local friendly mechanic says only the front calipers from a CB200 will do. I, hopefully, have one found on E Bay but need another, I feel like I have trawled the internet and local breakers and come up with nothing, so I am hoping one of you can help.

Yeah, trust you grease monkey. A cb200 disk is perfect to stop a 1400cc monster from rolling of a cliff.

Cable operated calipers are an oddity and they are not easy to come by and harder to come by in good shape as the lever rubber cable protector often gets ripped off and moisture gets into the cable operated caliper and seizes it up in no time... The same brake set use is also found on cb125 models but is also a rarity... That's a bike bike to by stopped by those smaller cable operated calipers :o

Will do what exactly? Not stop a trike, surely. They hardly stop the bikes they came with :)

Must just need a "hand brake" for legalities in that state. Hopefully the rears are beefy ;)
 
Yes, it is just as a handbrake the current brakes work fine, not planning to roll it off a cliff. All I can see on the USA version of Ebay and European is a mount.

So you're saying a cb200 mechanical disk caliper will be tested OK in a road legal test on a trike?
Are they on meth?

Does it really has to be a secondary brake? Because if not, you could join an extra rear master cilinder in the brakeline and make a handle or something on that - not even that more complicated then a cable.

Could you get your mechanic to join the conversation? Im kinda lost here.
 
New Law in UK. Have to have separate brake for parking on a handbrake to be road legal, this system must be separate from the 'stopping' system on the usual rear foot operated. The trike laws in UK are very grey, but I am assured this is how it has to be, cannot afford the one on Ebay.com. Found and bought one on Ebay.uk and still looking.
 
Fit a hydraulic caliper
I would use a rear master cylinder which is easy to modify for cable operation with remote lever
