Front Brake Control - Strait Bars

Hello All.
I am trying to fit some true strait bars onto my 85 XV700 Virago. I am going pretty minimalist and want to put small levers and a small brake res on the bars - I have been told the "angle" or lack there of on str8 bars would be an issue.
Can anyone make a recommendation?
I also am looking for a minimalist throttle assembly - maybe something from the MX world?

I used a master cylinder and lever from a yamaha zuma scooter. Works great everything hooked right up to my 82gs550

Cool idea -
Did you use strait bars?
Do you have enough stopping power?
Single Rotor set up?

I am actually going with Drag Bars or Clips on...
So going to start a new thread with slightly different questions.
