Front End Swap (GSXR - KZ400)

So I found a set of 2006 GSX-R 1000 forks on CL for way too cheap to pass up. They come with the upper triple and axel.

My main question at this point in time is will the triple tree mount to my frame directly without modification?

Getting my wheel to fit, and mounting my brake caliper are other obvious challenges. But right now I am more worried about just getting the things mounted to my frame.

The other thing to think about is the neck length. Get a measurement for the gixxer neck and compare it to yours.

The 400/440 neck bearings are the same inside and outside diameter as the 550 - 1000.
But one of the bearings on the 400/440 is narrower. The 400/440 stem is also 3/4 in.
shorter. You can check KZRider for post on about the bigger bike swaps. If you change
the forks you should change the swing arm also. That requires machine work.
