front fork swaps

Lots of forks swap around on lots of bikes, but it's too big a matrix to work out. What bike are you starting with? With some machining, just about any front set of forks can be made to fit on any frame.

i put a kawi 440 front end on my 450honda ..it took alot of figuring out and chasing the right bearings ect but it worked out good in the end and now works lovley ......what are your issues ?????
the uual methods ...are .....shorten or lengthen the spike ...change the spike over to whats stock for the frame ..or gag...find the right bearings to splice it one as is ......
to lengthen or shorten the spike cut it in the middle ....have a piece turned with a spacer bar in it to lengthen it ....to shorten rmove the piece you gott a loose .......here comes the important part so make sure you get it right .........the piece HAS TO BE A PRESS FIT (which means both the inny and outty are the same size EXACTLY )......both methods use the same sort of piece
also you have to taper both sides of the cut (and the spacer if its longer ) after its pressed ...TRY OUT THE TREES AND FORKS !!!!!!!!!!! then ok go ahead and weld it or silver solder it (not plumbers solder )
it wont move if you press in at least and inch on each side .....
