Gauging interest: 73 TX650 not running

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get a feeler/ offers on my 73 TX650. It is not running at this moment. It was upon shipping it from Illinois to California and forgot to unhook the battery and of course the Military movers stored stuff on top of my seat and must have shorted out. The bike is in Pasadena siting at my friends back yard. I am stationed in Camp Pendleton, oceanside. I will get pictures of the bike soon and post them. It was running very well in Chicago. But I have no time to figure out the problem. It was supposed to be my project cafe. Bought this while stationed in Chicago in 2011. Previous owner put new mikuni carbs (don't know what kind), Brakes overhauled and new tires.

Tank has a dent but I also have an xs750 tank that I was going to put on. Has cafe bars and mirrors. Dual pipes, New throttle cable, and light hood. The mileage you see on the pic is the real mileage for frame and engine. Engine leaks oil so you might wanna put new gaskets .

This is a kick start only. Previous owner took out the electric starter I guess. I have Illinois title in hand and tags have not been paid for the last two years.

Update: forgot that the seat foam has been teared apart but seat pan is still good.

Please email me at dteezee10@gmail.com or call/text 626-298-3340 if interested. Thanks

- Dennis

Looks like it should make someone a great project. Hope you're able to get what you need out of it and...THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE!

This sounds like a decent start for a project, but I guarantee you will sell it more quickly and get more if you can track down the electrical glitch and get it running. And with a leaky engine, you're obviously going to get less than if it was tight...

I concur, but I have too much going on right now I have no time. Thanks for the input though.
