Hello! The name's Fil, and I'm a new rider who just got his first bike, a fully operational 78' KZ650. Had 29500 miles on her when I got her, has 30000+ now. She runs great, well great for her age, she feels very reliable. Now obviously I'm here cause I love cafe bikes, and naturally I intend to build the 650 into one. I love the style of cafe bikes more than any other, the minimalism, the feel, its great!
So, yeah, i may not have much experience with bikes, but i spent 4 years in high school in the auto shop (we only have a 3 year program, but i loved it so much that i was able to take it again my senior year
YAY!) where I worked on a ground up build of a hyper mileage car, and worked on a RX-7 small block engine swap. Now i wish I still had access to the shop.
