Hey guys, another new guy here. ive been a member here a while just hadnt posted. ive sorta been lurking and creeping around in the shadows trying to get a little familiar with things before i open my big mouth lol. im also new to the cafe racer scene and bike building in general. i have 2 bikes at the moment an 82 yamaha maxim 400 (the mono shock, open frame version) and then i have a 75 cb 360. both are projects. the maxim i decided to go the bobber hardtail route and the cb will be getting the cafe treatment. i started the maxim first and would like to get it complete before i drag out the cb, but we'll see how long that lasts lol. anyways ill get some pics of the 2 up so you guys can see where im at and what im working with.

btw im also a 23 year old welder/fabricator at place called morganton pressure vessels. ive got 5 years welding experience and can mig tig and stick weld. i have my own welder (a small hobart handler 140) and a pretty good tool selection so im excited to see what ideas i can come up with for both of these bikes

those are all i have of the cb at the moment, and the pics of the maxim are on the other computer, ill get those up a little later
 
Why did you take off the nascar stickers? I thought they looked cool. ;) But sweet cb360, looks to be in good condition. I will stay tuned.

here it is now after a lot of cutting an rewelding.. i hate the frame on this bike! i went the bobber route, it seemed easiest. ill do a build thread on it when i get more progress

it's coming along & looking very bobberish nice handles BTW... & don't apologise for the photos... just for the phone, I do every time I use the prick of a thing ;D
 
thanks dude! im at a standstill now cause until i find or make a seat, i cant fab up seat mount brackets. after that i gotta build a battery and ignition holder. ill be set after that though cause then it all gets to go back together. ill prob start a build thread for the maxim in the next couple days. stay tuned!
