going going gone...lol

i did go through things to get an idea as to what the bike needed before taring her down.
Im thinking silver frame with blue tank.
kinda want to do some CL pipes.

also debating on M62 tires, clubmans and such for a cafe
OR
trials tires and drag bars for something alittle different....

not sure

what do you guys think?
would love to see a few inspirational pics...

How do you keep track of your self?
That is such a good looking engine. Classic.

Board tracker/racer
Plunger rear end with trad saddle.

Aha! There's what youneed the parts for. Want to see what a 68 sloper looks like with a blue tank and silver frame? Check the link in my sig. Somewhere around page 40-ish.

yup thats what i need some parts for.....
your bike is a good looking build

im thinking like reb bull colors or something

Nice find! I'll keep following this. Incidentally I found a brand NOS tank with the same paint scheme as you have on your bike (mine is the same as well, but a 1973).

well as always when you dont have money to spend and not sure what else to do......POLISH.....lol

pics to follow

found that a kick starter shaft as mine is striped.

Im really leaning towards the M62 tires and cafe....
so im looking for some CL high pipes

A mate has hoarded a load of BSA Bantam frames, and I've already figured out how to fit a CB/G 125/150/200 lump in, and the rear subframe is a simple bolt on, both the twin shock and the plunger. ;)
It's asking for it.

Plunger frames are no good... Piss poor handling at best, though admittadly they look kinda cool.

To be honest I've never ridden one, It just seems an alternative to a hard tail.

its kinda cool. not sure if i could find one in the states or if thats really what i wanta do.

is it just me or are parts harder to find for the 175 then other hondas?
im looking for EBC shoes, cables, bearings....the lot

There were a few companies that made plunger frames back in the day. I can almost gurantee that none are for a 175, and they would all be way too big.

175 parts arent too difficult to find, but compared to a cb350 (which they made 300k+ of) there isnt as much availability , no.

Why on earth would anyone take a 1970 design and adapt it to accept 1940 DKW suspension technology? That does not compute.

Motor strip and build is easy and fairly cheap as a rule. Get a race bump seat, clubmans bars ( I hate them but they are cheap and available), a chopped down rear fender, LED tail light and a couple of rattle cans and you are good to go. Leave the low pipes and sock mufflers. They are cheap and effective ie you already have them. No need to buy replacements. CB160 tank if you can get one cheap or use what came on the bike.

Rear set pegs of course, in the old passenger peg positions and call it Dunn.

i am currently looking for something similar to mount in a foale style frame and jam a turbo on. yes, im serious. 2-cyl 250 max CC (pref honda) twin. i just think it would be a hoot. :)

gunna keep an eye out for some R1 rearsets on the bay, ive used them on a few builds before. they are cheap and easy to find. if not its moto bits at $200.

clubmans.....yeah im not fan, but they do work well on the smaller bikes and are cheap
