I just recently picked up my project (1971 CB500) that I have had in storage for 8 years (military move to Germany plus deployments). I'm recently retired so I'm going to try and re-assemble this bike and get it to road-worthy status. This is my first cafe build and I bought it from a guy who used it for his first cafe build. lol. So, to say it's got issues is probably a bit of an understatement. Having said that, I look forward to learning via this forum and my patented cut-first-measure-eventually process that has made building my Mustang project such a joyous occasion.

Welcome to the ton..................!!!!!!

I'm just below you in Georgia.

Thanks for serving...........

I'm also retarded.....uhhh....retired U.S. Army.

I've been remiss in posting a pic or two.

These are pics from 2009. I got orders to Germany at the same time so the project got put on hold and stayed that way until I picked up the bike a couple of weeks ago.

Here's How I purchased it:

And here was the beginning of the project that has been delayed for 7 years:

Once I finish up the current project in my garage (1985 Mustang), I will start this one again in earnest.
