Hello all, I've been a lurker on this forum for quite some time. Just finally picked up a new project and decided to join. This will be my first 'cafe' build to date. I have owned a handful of various bikes.

My 2009 Harley Sportster XL1200N


My XS650 Bobber build


And my newest project, and reason for registering on the forum...a 1981 GS750L


Plans are a cafe build, maintaining a good mixture of modern sport bike parts as well as keeping as much of the retro styling of the bike. I've got hundreds of bikes that inspire me, but i'll save your bandwith by not posting them.

Your build is looking good! I was thinking of going with the same style tail.

What are you running for rear sets? And how much modification did it take? If you have any close up or install pictures i'd love to see them.

Thanks man! The rear sets are off a 01 GSXR 1000 and originally I made a bracket to mount them to which bolted on the old peg mounts. They stuck out too wide and drove me up a wall so I am actually going to make some different supports and weld them to the frame. Don't have any good pics just yet but that should be coming up here soon I hope.
