GT380 Peg Vibration.

Been Around the Block
Did 120 mile round trip to and from a classic bike ride on my 75 GT380. She performed flawlessly, even during a two mile stretch on the expressway. I did notice a "buzzy" vibration below 3700 RPM and even more above 4500. It is like an on/off switch, it is there and then it isn't. It only opens under load at those engine speeds. Coasting at those RPMs produces no vibration. There are no unusual noises from the engine and I have good power from 3500 to about 7200. Also, when I come back on the throttle there is some drive line lash. I am thinking the problem is in the clutch or gears. Any thoughts?

P.S. How to I check the gear box oil level on Suzuki Triples?

its gotta be from the motor ,harmonics, the clutch and gears aren't spinning fast enough and if it were from the clutch or trans it would get worse as rpms climbed
all motor mounts in good shape, tite?
if it is only under power my guess is harmonics from the pipes

Pipes! I replaced the header ring seals this year. I will check and (if necessary) re-torques the nuts on the exhaust headers. Also, the pipes are old Bassani expansion chambers installed by a previous owner. They are not mounted like the OEM pipes in the cushioned mounts etc. The engine seems tight. I had 125 psi in all three cylinders (good for the GT380). There are no unusual noises coming from the engine. In fact, the engine sounded especially good. Motors mounts are tight, but they are rubber cushioned mounts. It is possible that the rubber mounts are worn. Still would like to know how to check the transmission oil level properly.

oil level m6 screw in front of the kicker
yeah it is proly the chambers just the bodies/bellies hamonitatin'
to see if that is it try wrapping the belly of the chanmbers with a black rubber tiedown bungee this can change the harmoni-tater or subdue it and then you woulld know where it is origitatin' from fer

Good news and good news. I tightened the header nuts and the vibration is barely noticeable. My oil remains full in the gearbox. Took her for a quick spin and she was wonderful.
