GT550 Blue Smoke Devil

I need a tissue and some time alone :P..... sounds saaweet... I miss the sound of a 2 stroke triple.... BTW, I voted for You on CF...2x..LOL

Installed my new LED tail light w/plate bracket.

Also did a little "Friday night sheet metal work" and added an under side cover to my tail cowl. Jeeze I am a friggin hack!!!! :o Come on now, didnt come out that bad!! ;D

Just gotta make that bend at the bottom edge a little crisper / sharper. Have to use a peice of wood and square it off nice.

Here is a possible set up to keep the battery and carbs and everything else from being sprayed with sand and shit.

Not sure if I like the look. Maybe paint it black, maybe cover it with stickers, maybe pull it out. Opinions?????

Little update on the Devil.

After switching to the pro taper / superbike style bars I have decided to go back to my stock footpegs also. The rear sets look trick, just could not ride the bike man. To get an idea, put on some low clip ons and ride with your feet on the rear passenger pegs!!!! I basically HATED it!!!!!!!

So today I put the stock shifter and foot peg back on. I made a temp peg on the brake side as that is going to be a little harder to figure out. With the SV brake sut up I cant go back to stock on that side. Took a 20 minute rip today.........perfect. Felt like riding a super moto, carvin the curves and banging the power band in second gear like a champ!!! Screw the hunched over cafe seating position. Looks great, just cant ride it.

Sorta of a step backward, but screw it.

I also decided to keep my sheet metal inner fender, worked perfect today. It got pretty dirty, motor and carbs stayed clean.

This build is awesome! Whenever you do step up to the 750, ill step up from the 250 and take this sweet thing off your hands. Keep up the good work.

Thanx famous. ;D

That back end is coming together nicely. Do you have a plastic/fiberglass inner fender? It would visually push that fender area further forward and make a difference to the look I think.

On the 750 I was lucky that the inner fender was black plastic and more or less is invisible in there.

or try a small C/F hugger on the swingarm like this one.

You would have to decide if that works with the rest of the look.

Gotta make it fit ya... If the bike is more comfortable to ride, then it must be right!
