Hi there, I live in calgary alberta canada where the winters are long and the summers are short. I'm finally going to transform my 1976 kz400 to a cafe racer. Its been a long time waiting, I will post pic when I get a chance too. Hopefully soon. Just wanted to say hi to everyone.

Great site by the way.

Took my carbs in to get rebuild. Found a shop thats great wth customer service and a good shop rate. If your ever in calgary and need work done or just want to see one of the the best shops in town. Go see Phil at the old motorcycle shop 403-261-0034. Now I just have to put them back on and do a tune up. All I need now is the snow to go away.

I have a dilemma here, I got got my exaust in and when I went to pick it up they had an other set of exaust that i liked. so now i don't know which one to put on. So I need some input. thanks

I was down to his shop this past weekend with a buddy and my bro .... His new space is awesome and is MUCH better than his previous shop. Good service, great selection of old bikes to look at and no non-sense type of guy.

Decided to go with the top ones (old school type) Plus with the smaller mufflers I didnt have to do any bending of the pipes to make them work. Looks good, when I finally get them on I will post some pics.

Hey
Hello from Edmonton. I'll be heading to Calgary soon so I'll definately check that out. Sounds like they specialize in sales of old bikes?? We've got nothing like that up here.
Cheers.

Yeah. The guy has sh!t heaps of old bikes in his shop... some for sale, some projects. It's worth going in just to poke around and look at the collection. Dirt bikes, bobbers, antiques you name it... it's there.

i hope you not talking about phil being a good guy. be carefull dealing with him.

I never had any problems with phil or his staff, always willing to help. What was the problem that you had there?

We should all get together and go for a ride when this crazy weather stops. Let me know if that works for you guys. thanks

I'm down with that program... looking forward to it.

I was pissed off with winter before the snow we got last night!! Now I'm just ready to stomp bunnies!!! >:(

I've still got a bit more work to do to my bike but it will be rideable very soon.

I have a young family so I mostly just look at my bikes. I sneak out from 10pm to 12 and work on em.

Sounds like a good time, as long as we can all coordinate our "ride" on that "one" day that we'll actually get summer!! :o

Dirtbag - I'm in the same boat as you... the younguns don't permit me to wrench on my bike that often... I'm pretty sure that I'll be riding around this season with only body filler on my seat/ cowl - If I'm REALLY lucky I might get a coat of primer on it!
