New guy here from Ft. Wayne, IN. Just found out about this site and i'm stoked. Truly a wealth of knowledge and support for my latest project. I bought this CB750k a couple yrs ago on ebay. It had a Tracy Body on it and supposedly an 836 kit. I regret that I sold the body off it now. But I am working on a couple of ideas for tank and seat. Its been sitting for a while and I am really trying to get motivated, but no heat in the garage. Hopefully thes pictures upload, but its my first try. So here goes.

Hey.. Welcome Rob!!.. I sure wish I was in FLA!!..
I cant imagine whats its like to be riding all year around.. :(

From one Hoosier to another welcome to the board!
Looks like your making progress and I'm in the same boat with a non-heated garage. :(

Welcome. Indiana is pretty cold this time of year, but atleast now you have a concrete floor ;D. My old garage had a gravel floor as well but back then i couldn't afford concrete. Now that I have a new garage and concrete floor, I found out about limestone sand. Place a few inches on top of a base of gravel and pack it in with some water. It's just as hard as concrete. Wish I'd known that back in the day. I wrenched on that gravel floor for 18 years :(. Lots of lost bolts LOL.
Bike looks like it is going to be a good project and I like your seat so far. Make sure you take lots of photos. Oh yeah, I have no heat in my garage too. Sucks this time of year. Troy

Hello from another Ft. Wayne resident. What part of town are you in?
I live on the west side of town over by St. Francis college. I've been riding Harleys for the last 10 yrs, but got the bug for a vintage muscle bike again. I used to have a killer 75 Z1 that I had raked and punched out. I thought I was going to kill myself on that thing though. I'm hoping to get this bike on the road this summer. Had a heck of a time getting it titled in my name, as it was an out of state title and was registered off the motor #'s and not the frame. I've made some changes since the origional pics I took. Updated with Dyna ignition and coils, swapped over to a 500T tank (needs some modifying though), and have since cut down the seat cowl a little. The seat cowl started as a Harley Superglide rear fender that I cut down with a die grinder. Its coming out ok, but still need to work on the seat pan. I've got it all stripped down to a roller with the motor pulled right now. I scored an Amen electrical box pretty cheap (the kind that is usually used on choppers) so I am hoping to clean up the electrics quite a bit. If my garage ever thaws out a little I will make some more progress on this. Where abouts are you in the Fort ?

Yep, mine was a WI title too. Had to call the coppers over 3 times to get it squared away. Called the city boys and they told me to call the troopers. Troopers came over and filled out an affidavit, then I took it to BMV as instructed. BMV said I had to have 2 affidavits. What the F@*$ ?? So I went home and called the troopers back again. They laughed, but filled it out anyway. So now I have my title... what a mess !!!

I am near Dupont/Lima. I built my seat last winter, the build is posted here http://dotheton.com/index.php?topic=4473.0 It would be nice to see a small gathering of vintage minded individuals some time, I know of a few in town. I look forward to seeing you final product. Are you registered over at SOHC4? http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php Many good resources over there.
I'm not on any other forums right now. I agree about the vintage bike gathering, that would be fun. Most of the people I ride with are HD guys. So it would be cool to meet some new folks around town to ride with.

Definitely check out SOHC4, it is worth your time. Too bad about getting rid of that Tracy body, I didn't think much of them at first, but the style grew on me. I will be riding again when the thermometer gets closer to forty again.
