I just registered yesterday and wanted to share my loss with those who understand (wives don't understand).
I had found a nice 1976 Suzuki GT185 in very nice shape for under a grand, in Laval, Quebec.
I made arrangements to see and buy it the next morning at 9:30.
The seller e-mails me at 9:00 the night before with the news that it was sold to a guy who just showed up.
What a drag. :'(
This bike would have been soooo easy to mod.
It came stock at 238 lbs and 21 hp.
Now I'm looking for a 1971 or 72 GT250 if there are anymore out there for sale.
Even a 125 twin would be great.
I would really like a drum front brake...a big drum. Not the motocross type.
These bikes are as rare as hen's teeth.
So anyways, that's my introduction.
I will be lurking around to see what projects are on the go.
Cheers
Denis
