Hello from seattle

Hey everyone, just found the forum. I have been building and tinkering with bikes for a while now. Built my first bike in high school. It was a 72' cb 500/4 with 5k original miles that I bought from the original owner for 200 bucks! and she was mint. Looking forward to finding another old bike to make something fun and with some soul again.

Ive been looking on craigslist all day, nothing on there really in my price range. I found an 81 750k but im not too fond of the later models.

No brand preference. Trying to stay under 600, I know thats pushing it but I know I can find something

I saw that 500/4 but it looks rough. And that 400 special, im not too familiar with them. Is that a good platform to work with?

Picked up a bike today. Couldnt argue with 60 bucks. Its a 1980 xs 400 special. Its a little rough, but has some major potential. Gonna get it running next week.
