Hi everyone, first post.
I'm not having much luck with motorcycle forums. I don't think I know how to pick 'em.
I have a 81 Suzuki GN400 and I'm building a boardtrack/cafe/race/retro bike. I don't fit in with the chopper guys, bobber guys, or the Harley guys. They don't understand me. I hate long forks and tall handlebars, low seats and having my feet way out in front of me. I want my clip-ons low and my feet back. I want to ride intense for 30 minutes then bring it back home, take it all apart to clean it and prepare it for the next ride like a MotoGP mechanic. Since I'm fabricating the whole bike I figured I should find some "biker build off" forums... but like I said, I don't fit in. So, hopefully I'll find a home here.

G'day filteredsoul
from what you say you should like it here, there are a s#*t load of like minded riders in here both local & around the world.
Cheers

Thanks for the welcome!
As for pictures, I started a little blog. I have a budget of $50 a month (yes seriously), no fancy machinery, and I'm honing my metal/welding skills, but if you want to see where I'm at, you can go to:
kustomGN400.blogspot.com
I have drawings, rake/trail numbers, and a fair amount of engineering into it so far. My next goal is to get my welding up to snuff. (Gas welding of course! -Old school style) You may be able to make out a full scale drawing tacked to the wall behind the latest pic of the wheels/forks.
Let me know what you think!
Dan
