Help with throttle cable PLEASE

I'm at my whits end with myDIY throttle cable kit. I can't get a routing/config that with give an easy twist when it's all connected.

The carbs slide easily on their own

The grip twists easily when not connected

Cables are free of anything and don't go around any tight corners

So what's the deal? Anyone encountered this?

Do the cables slide easily in the casing with both end disconnected?

If they are new cables lube them up

everything seems to slide easily when the pull cable is not connected, I greased the housing inside the 2-1 connector and the pull cable came pre lubed

Grease inside the housing might be offering too much resistance (how much did you put in there?).


A light oil might be better.

just a little to coat the part that slides, i didnt fill it up or anything
