Holy Shit I won!!!

way to go man! i'd have loved to see those yuppi billet stretch chopper guys face's when a Honda took the WIN! beautiful bike very well deserved.

I would be holding a golden piston if I was holdin that chick with the other hand too ;D Congratulations man....that could prove to be a turning point in bike tuning evolution, especially in a state like Florida with such a huge bike crowd. The chopper guys must have died and I bet you converted many fans in the crowd into feeling the same way we all do here about the aesthetics of the cafe style. Take the cash and build the bike more....and enter more shows! You can become the official DoTheTon "How to WIN your next bike show" Zen Master 8)

That’s some funny shit!

You know I hadn’t given it much thought in that regard, and will tell you that although I am very partial to our café style, I do appreciate a good looking well built bike regardless of its style. After reading some of the comments here and thinking back a bit, I gotta tell you it was real cool and very gratifying to watch the crowd’s reactions to the bike as they walked down the line of choppers, HD’s, and other customs and then came up on the café.

We were sitting incognito on the sidelines having some beers and listening to comments like, “what is it”, and, ‘that’s one nice Triumph”. One old guy noticed the only “Honda” insignia on the bike which is on the left case, and with a southern twang says to his wife, “whaat’s a Hooonda”? now that was funny! But most folks we’re like “hey that’s cool” or “now that’s different”. Many of them actually took the time to inspect the bike in great detail. They were actually smiling quite a bit and surprisingly very receptive to this café in the big sea of choppers and HD’s that were out there!!! The show’s judges from what I’m told, were made up of people that have been in the custom bike business forever, 2 of which have large shops and have made reputable names for themselves in the chopper industry.

…So who knows maybe people are looking for something new after all, and café’s could very well be it!!! …but if it’s the HD crowd looking, I guess we can expect to see an influx of Sportster cafés out there because like the old guy said, "whaats a hooonda"!! ;D

man that is awesome! i just noticed your outter ring on your caliper is powder coated... i have never seen anyone do that but me... takes some time to do the powder like that man, you have a good coater! bike is amazing, def one of my fav builds i have ever seen. keep rocking it man! THE BIMBO BLONDE IS HOT.... I would hit up that old ass!

Thanks a ton guys!

Here’s the link to my photobucket if you care to see a few more shots of the bike and also some of the ones that were out there yesterday. http://s279.photobucket.com/albums/kk158/herm1050/

this one here was just sent to me by the boys over at Full Throttle…and YES there's a stupid smirk on my face, but it's because grabbing hold of a playboy playmate for a few seconds is almost just as much fun as winning that trophy! hehe

HAHAHA the look on your face is priceless. I could caption it right now with "Must resist...don't look at her Ta-tas...don't look at her Ta-tas!"

Congrats on the WIN!! It is well deserved and anyone of us would be proud to own such a beautiful machine.

That bitch is Hoooooot... :o

Oh and the playboy bunny's not bad either I guess, just don't stand her next to your ride and she should get noticed.
Nice bike bro, well done!

Yeah dude that bunny’s a lot like my bike actually...they both look much better with fresh and new after market parts bolted on! ;D

Nice work!

Congratulations for being recognized for all your hard work. Did you ask the bunny if she wanted a ride on your bike?

I went to the local CycleWorld bike show and can appreciate your comments about the average crowd member. I was working at the VJMC booth and we received many condescending smirks. ??? A few were willing to admit that their first bikes were made in Japan, though.

I need to start paying more attention to these threads!! How tall is that bunny? I'm guessing that's the only reason she got more attention than the bike!! ;D

Those things look like they're trying to poke you in the ear.

nice bike. congrats.

yeah, but you have to wonder which one rides better. LOL!

True, though I'd think it all comes down to preference...I, for one, prefer "tight" handling. Though I'm not one to comment specifically on how she performs in that department, girls in her line of work generally ride a little loose...

Funny, I just shot beer out my nose. I would tend to agree, nothing worse than sloppy loose handling...... on a bike of course.
