Honda CB350 regulator/rectifier fitted. Now have spare wire left over?

The problem isn't with the R/R, then. It's not part of the main circuit.

You're shorting something out. Time to break out the multimeter and start tracing it through.

Thanks Sonreir.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Maybe its time for a total re-wire? It is a bit of antique now. lol.

Ha ha. Yes.
Oh I did replace the indicators for some off flee bay, they wouldn't be causing this would it?

It could be. What you're looking for is any black wire in the harness that might be exposed and touching bare metal or and green wire plugged into a black. Those are the most common scenarios. If it were me, I'd start at the main fuse and start measuring for continuity to ground. Assuming your headlight isn't an always on style, you shouldn't get any reading. If you get a reading of less than an Ohm or so, you definitely have a short.

Well funny you should say that because it is a headlight on all the time bike.
I'll have a look later.
Thanks again.

Took the headlight out and found a burnt out brown & white wire. What could have caused this? Any ideas?
At least I've found something now.
