Ok wierd problem. I dont have my manual with me so I need some help as to what to look for.
I was having problems adjusting the clutch cable after installing a new one. I kept hearing a pop at the case on the left side of the bike and had to take it apart and reset the cam with three balls in it.
Now a week later (I didnt ride the bike) the trans and kick starter are messed up.
I can not get the bike to go into gear and the kick starter doesn't engage anything. It goes down real fast. Every now and again I can get the kick starter to engage and if I kick it, the bike will move forward, even with the clutch pulled in.
But I cannot get the bike to act like it is in gear. I can move the shifter and feel the dogs move on the barrel, but I can push the bike like it is in neutral. I assume that the clutch is messed up, but how and why? Do I look on the left or right side of the motor, and for what?
